AN Amsterdam Office, designed by Studio Noun, is a captivating transformation of an industrial building into a vibrant workspace infused with abstract and modernistic elements. The design concept seamlessly blends waves of furry wool and colorful arty interiors, reflecting the multidisciplinary approach of the studio across art, tapestry, furniture design, and spatial design. The resulting space embodies a maximalist aesthetic with bold abstract features.
Versatile Workspace
Initially designed for the tech company CVMaker, the office offers a versatile environment comprising open workspaces, meeting rooms, a bar, play areas, gym space, communal zones, and event rooms. Studio Noun aimed to create a funky yet functional space, integrating soft layers of wool and bold design choices to enhance the overall ambiance. The office exudes a modernist vibe with a twist, featuring splashes of color and unique craftsmanship using leftover or vegan materials.
Colorful and Playful Interiors
Inspired by the circular theme, the deep blue walls of the office create a striking backdrop, complemented by vibrant accents and innovative design elements. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a colorful contrast of blues and bright hues, accented by bespoke vintage furniture and handcrafted tapestries made from vegan eucalyptus yarns. The space is further enlivened by street art-inspired iconography and signage, contributing to a dynamic and immersive experience.
Multilayered Design Landscape
Studio Noun’s design philosophy revolves around creating multilayered environments that inspire and engage. The goal of the AN Amsterdam Office was to transport employees out of the typical tech environment into a realm of creativity and inspiration. The project, completed in under six months, involved collaboration with various designers and craftsmen, resulting in a unique fusion of artistry and functionality.
