Completed in June 2018, the extension of Manshausen Island Resort features new cabins and a sauna/relaxation area intricately connected to a central seawater pond on the island. The sauna, crafted from leftover materials from the initial construction phase and reclaimed slate roof tiles found on the island, embodies a harmonious blend of sustainability and ingenuity. Designed to harmonize with its surroundings, the sauna offers guests a cozy retreat while providing easy access to the refreshing cold waters of the pond.
Cabins Perched on the Edge
Positioned at the northern tip of the island, the new cabins stand boldly on rocky formations, extending over the sea to offer unparalleled views of the undisturbed horizon. Each cabin is strategically situated to withstand the elements, with careful consideration given to factors such as wave heights, extreme weather conditions, and potential sea level rise. Clad in durable aluminum sheeting, the cabins are built to withstand the corrosive effects of saltwater exposure, while their access via rocky formations adds an element of adventure to the guest experience.
