Conceived by Sanuki Daisuke architects, the design of Ben Tre Hotel centers around the concept of “Design of Experience.” Despite the site’s constraints, the architects aimed to create a space where guests could fully immerse themselves in the beauty of Ben Tre’s natural environment.
Unique Circulation Design
The elongated layout of the site necessitated a single corridor design, resulting in a lengthy circulation path for guests. To mitigate this, the architects introduced a zigzag arrangement of guest rooms, creating a diverse and engaging sequence that allows visitors to enjoy a variety of views as they move through the building.
Integration with Nature
Throughout the hotel, green spaces are seamlessly integrated into the design, providing guests with glimpses of lush gardens and tropical trees at every turn. The cranked and recessed parts of the building feature verdant gardens, enhancing the overall ambiance of the hotel and connecting guests with the surrounding landscape.
Terracotta Brick Facade
Drawing inspiration from the local materials found in the Mekong Delta, the exterior facade of the hotel is adorned with handmade terracotta bricks. These bricks, crafted in nearby factories, lend a warm and rustic charm to the building, with natural variations in color adding to its unique character.
