Anh Coffee Roastery emerges as a fresh contender in Vietnam’s bustling coffee market, yet to be defined by a distinct design identity. Situated advantageously in Saigon’s center, boasting a generous facade width and a deep architectural setback, the canvas is primed for Red5studio to unleash innovative ideas for this project.
Drawing Inspiration from Nature
The narrative of “Anh Coffee Roastery” draws inspiration from the evocative imagery of basalt red lands nurturing coffee amidst cloudy skies. Immersing visitors in this ethereal landscape becomes both the primary material and muse for Red5studio’s design endeavor.
Integrating Design Elements
With the existing building featuring a minimal number of columns due to renovations, the design team ingeniously integrates these columns into a sprawling communal table strip spanning the entire ground floor. Moreover, an external pathway leads patrons from the ground floor interior to a quaint “small outdoor garden” on the second level. Incorporating a small atrium between the floors facilitates tree planting, fostering a seamless connection and inviting natural light into the space. The deeply recessed building and lush greenery create an inviting ambiance for nature enthusiasts.
Redefining Architectural Perception
A metamorphosis unfolds as the mundane glass office block is transformed into a striking “brick red” edifice adorned with gentle curves of a white mesh system. This bold departure in color, form, and materials serves as the defining feature of “Anh Coffee Roastery,” instantly captivating attention.
Harmonizing Design Elements
The design language seamlessly integrates red terracotta brick from the facade into the interior space, adorning floors, walls, bars, and seating blocks. The ethereal cloud motif is manifested through an iron grid system spanning ceilings and facade, while the brand’s signature navy blue hue and natural wood accents punctuate the space, enhancing its visual allure.

From the sinuous curves of the communal table to the pervasive iron grid motif and the steadfast red terracotta bricks, every design element converges to sculpt a sanctuary of tranquility, inviting patrons to escape into a realm of sensory delight at Anh Coffee Roastery.
