Driven by the vision of a young client eager to maximize space utilization, the project involved radical interventions that reshaped the apartment’s layout. Service rooms were repurposed into modern conveniences, with the kitchen and laundry area seamlessly integrated into the living and dining room, fostering a sense of openness and connectivity.
Embracing Flexibility
The redesigned floor plan embodies a universe of possibilities, empowering users to adapt and personalize their living environment according to their evolving needs. Rather than imposing rigid spatial boundaries, the architecture embraces flexibility, allowing for fluid transformations in response to changing lifestyles.
Integrating Pre-existing Elements
Respecting the apartment’s history, Flipê Arquitetura integrated pre-existing elements into the design, imbuing them with new significance. Structural beams became focal points, guiding the alignment of slatted panels and serving as conduits for innovative lighting solutions. Panels on the entrance wall mirror the design of main hall and service doors, seamlessly blending old and new.

Reflecting the client’s penchant for clarity and simplicity, the interior palette is dominated by whites and grays, evoking a sense of serenity and sophistication. Yet, unexpected elements inject warmth and character into the space, such as the wooden-clad home theater and the whimsical hand-painted toilet, illuminated by a soft pink neon glow.
