The main facades of the Paral•lel Building feature folding wooden blinds with horizontal slats, reminiscent of Mediterranean pergolas. This dynamic solution acts as a sun filter, regulating privacy and sunlight entry throughout the year. Moreover, the panels can be lifted and transformed from blinds to pergolas as needed, ensuring versatility and adaptability.
Maximizing Energy Efficiency
Efforts to achieve maximum energy efficiency are evident in the Paral•lel Building’s design. Solar studies inform the optimization of the main facades, inspired by Mallorcan vernacular tradition.
